Whitney Kassel
Whitney Kassel joined TAG in 2011 and focuses on due diligence and strategic risk analysis in South Asia, the Middle East, and the former Soviet Union. Ms. Kassel joined TAG from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where she specialized in Pakistan policy, Special Operations and Counterterrorism, and sensitive activities. Ms. Kassel served one year in Pakistan with the Office of the Defense Representative and Special Operations Command Central, and represented the Secretary of Defense on General Stanley McChrystal’s Strategic Assessment Team in Afghanistan in 2009. She has also worked at the Council on Foreign Relations, the Atlantic, and the Polish Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Ms. Kassel graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College and holds a Masters Degree in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She is proficient in French and Russian.
